Almaguin District Snowmobile Club is the first club that opens each year closest to Toronto. Almaguin is located 2.5 hours from Toronto making it the first place snowmobilers tend to pick for great winter conditions not too far from their home.
Danette and Steve owners of Sand Lake Cottages & Inn Cottage Resort enjoyed a getaway for 2 on the trails in January heading towards Deerhurst Resort in Huntsville. The conditions were great and the trails were busy. We noticed that the Almaguin Highlands area was the busy area and when we headed towards Huntsville the trails were not quite as good and there was less traffic on the trails.

Cottage Rentals also joined us for the ride throughout Huntsville, Emsdale and Kearney area. Taking an exit into Kearney to visit the Kearney Legion for lunch was a fantastic idea with good food and good company.
